Outdoor First Aid courses; 20/21 July, 8/9 August and 5th 6th September, all near Preston, Lancashire
This is the course to re-validate your National Governing Body awards - SPA, ML, BCU, MBL, WGL etc - but who says it’s only the leaders who need to know First Aid? If you are ever out in the hills or on the water and away from immediate medical support, this course is for you.
We differ from ’standard’ first aid on a couple of crucial ways - first of all the outdoors is our classroom and much of the teaching takes place in environments close to those in which you will be operating (not literally!). Secondly it’s hand-on, you learn by doing and practicing.
These courses are always a lot of fun, and thought provoking too. We have excellent feed-back on how even previously qualified first aiders have gained from what we do. The course costs £120 for the weekend, and the qualification lasts three years - money and time well spent when you consider the difference it can make - life or death!
